18650 + 21700s Battery Trunk Packs:
Battery Calculator
Just an idea I've been thinking about for a while.
Would people buy them?
What do you think?
BONUS! There is Cooled Radiator Fluid already in my trunk!
  • Most Leaf drivers *love* their cars, but *fear* their range loss over time.
  • Nissan refuses to make new modules available at a reasonable cost.
  • 18650s & 21700s are easy to obtain and build into modules.
  • The used-module market is low in stock and risky.
  • In Trunk Packs, each cell could be pulled out, individually tested, balanced, and replaced every 5-10 years
  • *Passive* aluminum heatsinks, or *Active* cooling tubes could be added.
  • I just came up with these rough cost estimates, not a real product.
